Biostimulants Promote Plant Development, Crop Productivity, and Fruit Quality of Protected Strawberries

چکیده

Berries such as strawberries are recognized a significant constituent of healthy human diets owing to their bioactive secondary metabolites. To improve crop sustainability, yield and berry quality, alternative production systems should be proposed organic farming the use biostimulants. Thus, we have compared within complete randomized block design seven biostimulant treatments: 1-control, 2-seaweed extract, 3-Trichoderma, 4-mycorrhiza, 5-mixture three bacteria, 6-combination mycorrhiza + 7-citric acid. Strawberry plants were grown in conventional high tunnel (CH), greenhouse (CG) (OG). Our results showed that biostimulants did not impact soil microbial activity (FDA) when with control. Leaf chlorophyll content photosynthetic leaf performance affected by any studied Bacteria, citric acid, combination bacteria increased number flowering stalks control CH, while crown diameter all fresh dry shoot plant biomass. Citric acid Ca CG, N CH. Studied productivity treatment had highest CG. The anthocyanins whereas Trichoderma (OG) Brix, total polyphenols, anthocyanin contents berries

Evaluation of rootstocks for watermelon grafting with reference to plant development, yield and fruit quality

The effect of grafting and post-grafting temperature on the plant development of two watermelon cultivars at transplantation and on subsequent fruit quality was studied. Watermelon cv. Sugar Baby and Crimson Sweet were self-rooted or grafted onto rootstock RS 841 F1 (Cucurbita maxima × C. moschata) or bottlegourd [Lagenaria siceraria f. clavata] (year 1), plus L. siceraria f. pyrotheca (ye...

Effects of ethyl formate on fruit quality and target pest mortality for harvested strawberries

Strawberry fruit, western flower thrips and two-spotted spider mites were exposed to a range of ethyl formate (EF) concentrations from 0.8 to 2.4%. Ethyl formate treatments included both single and multiple applications of EF, the multiple applications having a venting period between each application. Additionally, target pests were exposed to EF and elevated levels of CO2 from 5 to 95 kPa, bal...

Preliminary Evaluation of Productivity and Fruit Quality for Seven Peach Rootstocks in Chile

Fruit productivity and quality of eight years peach and nectarine cultivars (Rich Lady, Ryan Sun, Ruby Diamond and Venus) grafted onto Cadaman-Avimag, Viking, Atlas, GxN 15, GF 677, MRS 2/5 and Nemaguard (control) rootstocks were evaluated. A Split Plot experimental design was used, with each rootstock/scion combination as an experimental unit. Total yield, fruit size distribution, number of fr...
